Examples of current low risk trips

Description

Events at school or in the local community that are in low risk environments that can be

managed with general EOTC trip procedures, and the EOTC Transport procedures if there is a driving component to your trip.

Approvals

Senior Leadership Team can approve directly.

However, you will still need to have your EOTC paperwork sent to the eotcpaperwork@mtaspiring.school.nz email 2 weeks prior to the event as it will need to be discussed in a Senior Leadership Team meeting.

Guidelines

  • Local (Less than 100km from Wanaka), or at school.

  • Easy supervision

  • In school time

  • Close to medical assistance

  • Driving in non-winter time road conditions

Notes

  • May be only a sole staff member depending on student numbers

  • First Aider still required

Consent and medical

  • Blanket Consent

  • Only need to inform parents

  • Request medical update

  • Print out contact and medical form of all your students from Classroom Manager

  • Must take 1st Aid kit: can be booked out in advance from the office via Sam.
